Hi, I am Alex, and I am the writer and host of Shatteredglasses.com.
I have created this community as a source of support. If you are facing challenges you find overwhelming, whether they be physical, emotional or spiritual, I want you to feel you can come here and find refuge. Read the stories and see your life or situation expressed from a different angle. Sometimes we only need a different perspective. Write to me if you would like to talk or look in the resources for information if you feel you need professional assistance or support.
At Shattered glasses you will come to know you never have to be alone. You will be Inspired, motivated and empowered as we ‘’pick up the pieces’’ of your life together.
While my experiences are unique to me, I’m sure some of the challenges I have faced are similar to yours. It is my personal, professional and spiritual life experiences that make me right to be here for you. I understand because I have been there, or know someone who has.
I’ve worked in various positions on my journey, and they have all enriched and given me new purpose; but my time as a health care professional, is one of the most special and greatest experiences I’ve had. There is nothing that touches the heart and humbles you more than helping to save someone’s life.
Seeing life on the brink every day, holding hands, comforting, wearing masks to hide the pain we really feel. To witness the will to live, strength of family, the power of love, the anger, pain and the grief. Our own pain. Seeing and knowing we make a difference.
I have worked with, mentored, supported, taught, managed, and lived amongst the most diverse of cultures and peoples. I have faced many challenges. I thank my Teachers and Mentors, some I have never met face to face and others have moved on, for the truth they imparted which lives with me daily.
I am grateful for all that I have and every moment of every day. I love myself and all the wonderful friends and family in my life.
I live knowing that I am the architect of my life.
Some are born to race cars and build skyscrapers and some of us were simply born to be the caretakers of life. We all have something to give in the service of others, this is mine and I give it happily. It was never meant for me to keep, but to share with you the way others did for me. I have the gift of empathy and an unexplainable yet special bond with some people, I motivate you because I look for and see the best in you.
I don’t profess to have your answers, you do. I will help you see things the way they really are, which will guide you in making decisions that will help you to find your peace and yourself.
We are all on a journey here and while I cannot carry you I will walk with you. You don’t have to be alone.
